Multiply the length 80' X the height 24' to get the total square foot area, which is 1920 square feet. The Foundry 5" Grayne Shingle is sold by the square, which is 100 square feet. Take the total 1920 square foot area and divide it by 100 square feet to get the number of boxes needed, which is 19.20. We have to sell in full boxes, so the 19.20 has to be rounded up to 20 boxes. If you have normal sized windows and doors in the wall, you can include them in the total square foot calculation to allow for waste. If you subtract the windows and doors from the total calculation, add 10% to your total square feet to cover waste. We highly recommend getting a professional installer to take the measurements of your walls and calculate the amount of siding and installation products needed to do the job.
